Ganj Afarinan Iranian Company, as a knowledge-based enterprise, has been operating since 2019 in the field of separating valuable metals such as molybdenum, rhenium, antimony, and others. The company is located on a 15,000-square-meter site in the Salafchegan Industrial Zone. GAI’s aims to utilize innovations and scientific research to achieve industrial self-sufficiency, including reducing dependence on imported products derived from molybdenum sulfide, and producing domestically the molybdenum salts required in various industries such as agriculture and catalysts in the petrochemical sector.
This organization is one of the manufacturers of high-purity molybdenum trioxide (Mo ≥ 60%) with the lowest level of copper and sulfur impurities (S < 0.1%، Cu = 0.2-0.5%), with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons. Other products produced by the company include ferro-molybdenum alloys in high grades (65 ≤ Mo (%) ≤ 75), with an annual capacity of 500 tons.
Additionally, the synthesis of ammonium dimolybdate and ammonium heptamolybdate with a minimum purity of 98% is another capability of this group. To provide more products for the continuous growth of Iran’s industrial sector, Ganj Afarinan Iranian plans to produce and supply sodium molybdate, ammonium perrhenate, and potassium perrhenate in the near future.
The high quality of the products is the main reason for exporting over 90% of them to European countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, and others.
